In Uganda, it was vacation time in May. For the children of the HCMI project in Kampala, that means music lessons every day! Thanks to funding from Music for Children, we were able to purchase a new keyboard, which was immediately put to full use for lessons, workshops, and performances. Read below what Claire herself has to say about it:
As Children get holidays, at the project center this means music becomes a full time activity! Music programs are set to empower these children to acquire more skills and not left with idle brains. In this first term Holiday a short photo and video glimpse is shared for all our activities that took place, this implies the Celebrating all mothers on mother’s day, live performances twice in a month and a workshop with new facilitators.
With a joyful heart, we appreciate our Sponsors Muziek voor Kinderen for supporting these programs with also purchase of our Brand new Keyboard for more and better improvisations.
We are incredibly proud of all the progress the children are making. You can find more photos and videos on the HCMI Facebook page or via their brand-new Instagram account @happychildrenmusicinitiative.
Claire would really love it if lots of people followed her account!
