Claire Nakibuule is founder and lead instructor for the Happy Children Music Initiative project. In addition to teaching, she continues to work steadily on her own development as a saxophonist. Last year, she regularly took lessons from Robert Aduba, one of Uganda’s top saxophonists, and she is studying hard.
In December, Claire took the internationally recognized ABRSM Grade 5 exam. Due to a misunderstanding, the results were delayed, but today she received her certificate and the results.

Claire passed with distinction, the highest possible grade on an ABRSM exam. We are incredibly proud of her!

Musical instincts were clear, a strong sense of style and character was evident, creating satisfying contrasts between the various pieces in this well-paced sequence. Characterisation was particularly strong in the lyrical works. Delivery was mostly successful and you were able to evoke a committed and concentrated atmosphere.
