Several significant changes have taken place within the board of the Music for Children Foundation. Mirjan Kouwenhoven, who has been involved with the foundation for the past six months, has been appointed chair. She succeeds Heleen Verleur, who has fulfilled this role with great dedication over the past two years and will remain involved as a general board member.

We also welcome Vennice Wong as our new treasurer. She is taking over the role from Marlijn Peuker.

A third change concerns Petra Griffioen, who has served as secretary of the board since 2019. She is stepping down from the board but will continue her involvement as a member of the executive committee. In this role, she will focus on strengthening the foundation’s financial and organizational structure, in collaboration with executive committee members Samira Kaya and Josien Reimink.

With these changes, the Music for Children Foundation is strengthening both its administrative and operational foundations, with the aim of further increasing its impact through music on children in vulnerable circumstances.
